What cookies are

Types we use
Essential storage remembers whether you accepted or rejected the banner so we do not nag on every page load. Optional analytics cookies, if enabled after Accept, help us see which public pages are requested, in aggregate. Rejecting leaves the site fully usable, including readings information, journal pieces, and contact details.

How to manage cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use the browser’s block-cookie controls. Blocking essential storage may cause the banner to reappear; it will not block reading descriptions or journal articles.
Third-party cookies
Embedded photographs are requested from the image host when a page loads. That host may receive your IP address. We do not embed payment widgets or social pixels. Font files are requested from Google Fonts.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics means we will not record optional page-view cookies. Essential banner memory may still be written if you use Reject, so we can honour that choice. The merchandising content remains available either way.
